Share & Grow nights taking over the German-speaking part of Switzerland!

Winter is (almost) over, flowers and birds are announcing the warm days and with the arrival of summer, euforia also has some good news: we are back in Bern! From June on, our German-speaking Share & Grow evenings will not only take place in Zurich, but also in the Swiss capital city. Our first events are already planned, check them out here.

But that’s not all: in both Swiss german cities, our Share & Grow will now happen on a regular monthly basis. Join us *every first Wednesday of the month in Bern* and *every last Wednesday of the month in Zurich* to meet other changemakers, exchange new ideas and discover new topics… we are looking forward to seeing you very soon!

Share, exchange & connect: as our changemakers network is filled with people who have all kinds of talents, we organize regular Share & Grow nights, which are events that create a space for people in our community to share and exchange some of their inspiration with others. It should be an open, flexible and interactive place where all members of the euforia community can sign up to share their knowledge and skills, get input on methods, topics and projects and try out new ideas in a "safe space". If you are interested in organising one yourself, don’t hesitate to contact Clara (Züri) or Camille (Bern) or put your event directly on our sign up form and we will get back to you!

Workend Les Diablerets 2019

At euforia we love to combine work and fun. This is why we organize what we call the workend. The duration of the workend varies between a week and a few days. It’s the time of the year where the team gets together in a physical space in nature to collaborate, to discuss, aaand of course celebrate being together!

The workend is also the time, where we invite close partners to get to know the team more, and to establish our partnerships even further. This winter for example, we were happy to have Luc and Lolly from the Constellation with us with whom we have created community imp!act, as well as Giordano from SINGA. Our next collaboration with them will be the facilitation of SINGA factory. With Robert from la Manivelle we organize our Share & Grow nights in Geneva. Annie from BeYouNetwork was also there. We support them with B Ø W I E, a gender projects incubator, which is launched with an adapted version of the imp!act event. Other than our partners, we also invite our volunt’heros to come to the workend -this time Anna and Mario joined us- because their input to our work is most precious to us.

As our whole team is distributed not only between Geneva and Zurich but also over Spain, Portugal, and France, for us the workend is essential to keep the team spirit alive, advance with our work, to reconnect with each other- or for our new team mates: finally meet the team in person - and to share our motivation on why we do what we do. In order to not have these few days overwhelming us all, the days are structured in a way that we all have free time, where we can either work individually, do sports, or go out in nature.

BE YOU NETWORK and (r)evolution lab: Organize an imp!act+ on Gender and LGBTI topics

We are very happy to join forces for the next (r)evolution lab cycle with our partner organization Be You Network. Together we want to give the opportunity to volunteers to organize imp!act+ events with a special focus on Gender and LGBTI topics.

(r)evolution lab is growing and testing new waters. For the upcoming programme cycle in the German and French language region of Switzerland, we are collaborating with BE YOU NETWORK, the community of people who take action so that gender norms no longer define who you are, who you can love and what you can accomplish. More than 100’000 people and organizations have joined the community in Switzerland and abroad.

What does this concretely mean for our (r)evolution lab participants?
The structure and content of the (r)evolution lab programme will be the exact same for all participants. The difference will be in the imp!act teams: depending on your interests, you can choose between a team who organises an imp!act around social and environmental topics OR you join the imp!act+ team which will put a specific focus on Gender and LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) projects.

Are you willing to explore this new journey with us? Then join the next (r)evolution lab cycle in the Deutschschweiz or Romandie. The next programme cycle starts in September 2018 and is spread over six months, finishing with your imp!act or imp!act+ event in spring 2019:

Weekend 1 — Project kick-off (14 - 16 September 2018): Teambuilding, project management, roles, inclusion

Evening gatherings (Between October and January): 3 evenings on different topics (logistics, finances, outreach, etc.). The dates will be defined with the teams on the first weekend.

Das Kölner Team am step into action Trainingswochenende

An einem Freitagmorgen machen sich neun motivierte, junge Menschen aus Köln in Richtung der Schweiz auf. Ziel ist die kleine Stadt Gossau, dort wird das erste Trainingswochenende von step into action stattfinden, was sich das Kölner Team als Neuzugang der Familie natürlich nicht entgehen lassen möchte. Nach einigen Stunden Autofahrt mit einer überragenden Playlist, die die Zeit wie im Flug vergehen lässt, erreichen wir am Nachmittag das Pfadiheim, wo wir herzlich empfangen werden. Da die anderen schon mittags vor Ort waren und mit der Simulation von step into action angefangen haben, gibt es nur eine kleine Vorstellungsrunde und schon steigen wir mit ins Programm ein. Mit den Themenbereichen Menschenrechte und Umwelt erleben wir den Parcours aus der Sicht eines Teilnehmers. So bekommen wir, die das Konzept bisher nur als graue Theorie kennen, ein viel besseres Verständnis davon. Außerdem macht es tierischen Spaß, schnell vergisst man seine Rolle und geht ganz in den Challenges und Diskussionen auf ;) Nach einem fantastischen Essen klingt der Abend mit einer kuscheligen Märchenstunde und gemütlichem Beisammensein aus.

Samstag und Sonntag geht es dann produktiv, aber auch immer mit viel Spaß verbunden weiter. Wir dürfen viel über Themen wie die Grundsätze gelungener Teamarbeit oder die grundlegenden Werte und Ziele von step into action erfahren und lernen. In schönen Gesprächen und Methoden lernen wir einander besser kennen. Ob in der Großgruppe oder den einzelnen Teams, es wird eifrig geplant und organisiert, zwischendurch darf natürlich auch die ein oder andere gute Mahlzeit nicht fehlen.

Leider müssen wir uns Sonntag nach dem Mittagessen etwas früher als die anderen verabschieden und auf den Rückweg nach Kölle machen, denn uns stehen noch einige Stunden im Auto bevor. Wir sind zwar alle etwas erschöpft von einem intensiven Wochenende, aber man kann die Motivation und den Tatendrang spüren, die sich in allen breit gemacht haben. Drückt uns die Daumen, dass wir diese Energie jetzt nutzen und in unsere Planungen stecken können, damit wir ein cooles Event auf die Beine stellen können. Wir hatten jedenfalls ein tolles Wochenende und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal, wenn wir mit den Schweizern zusammentreffen :)

step into action à l'ONU

Les Nations Unies ont célébré, cette année, la Journée mondiale des droits de l'enfant sous le thème #KidsTakeOver, en encourageant les jeunes du monde entier à assumer des rôles dans les gouvernements, les médias et le divertissement pour les sensibiliser aux souffrances  et aux problématiques des enfants du monde entier.

La Journée mondiale des droits de l'enfant a lieu chaque année depuis 1954 "pour promouvoir la solidarité internationale, la sensibilisation des enfants du monde entier et améliorer le bien-être des enfants". La journée est marquée tous les 20 novembre pour commémorer l'anniversaire de l'adoption de la Convention relative aux droits de l'enfant.

step into action Genève a organisé en collaboration avec l'UNICEF, son édition 2017 dans un lieu prestigieux : le Palais des Nations, à Genève, au siège européen de l'ONU !!! Lors de cette journée exceptionnelle, step into action a proposé à plus de 200 élèves et 50 adultes, un parcours interactif de 4h au sein même de l'ONU, au terme du quel était proposé un marché d'actions.

Ce marché d'actions est une étape importante de notre parcours, il propose à nos participants des actions concrètes qu'ils peuvent faire ou aider à développer à leurs échelles. Comme chaque geste compte, nos 11 partenaires présents ont proposé des opportunités concrètes ouvertes à tous.

Former de futurs acteurs de changement - organise ton propre imp!act !

Tu es (ir)raisonnablement motivé pour libérer le potentiel de changement de 10 millions de personnes d’ici 2020 ? Deviens un leader d’imp!act et organise ton propre événement imp!act !

Le (r)evolution lab est un espace au sein duquel tu rencontres des personnes partageant les mêmes motivations; c’est un parcours d’apprentissage basé sur l’expérience et à l’issue duquel, au printemps ou automne 2018 , tu organises ton propre événement imp!act. Cet espace te permet de partager, d’apprendre et d’expérimenter un certain nombre de compétences et de connaissances valorisées dans le monde du travail, et qui vont de la gestion d’équipe et de projet au leadership et à la facilitation en passant par des stratégies autour du bien-être. Au sein du (r)evolution lab, tu expérimentes une culture au travail différente, basée sur la co-création, la collaboration radicale, le dépassement de soi et la oooops-culture d’euforia (oser essayer et échouer).

Pour rejoindre le (r)evolution lab en Romandie, tu :

  • A entre 18 et 30 ans (+/-), tu es motivé et enthousiaste, doté de l’esprit d’équipe et d’une attitude entrepreneuriale

  • Partages la vision et les valeurs d’euforia

  • Aimes penser solutions avec d’autres jeunes motivés venant de différents secteurs et tu es prêt à prendre des responsabilités

  • Devrait avoir déjà participé à un événement imp!act

  • Comprends et tu as des bases d’anglais pour pouvoir suivre le programme

  • Participe au cylce de formation:

    • Week-end de formation - Lancement et bases pour organiser ton propre imp!act, 26-27 Janvier 2018, Lausanne

    • Journée de formation - Communication et logistique, février 2018, Genève

    • Journée de formation - Formation à la facilitation, 2 mars 2018, Lausanne

Les frais de participation sont entre 150 et 550 CHF (tu choisis selon ta situation financière)

Edition spécial de step into action "There is Hope"

Nous avons le plaisir de vous convier à la toute première édition d’un partenariat entre step into action et l’UNICEF : There is Hope for SDG’S* ! L’événement se déroulera à l’occasion de la journée mondiale des droits de l’enfant, le lundi 20 novembre 2017 au Palais des Nations.

step into action est d’abord un événement organisé depuis 2011, dont l’objectif est d’encourager l’engagement des jeunes pour les causes qui leurs sont chères, tout en les sensibilisant aux questions sociales et environnementales actuelles de notre société. L’objectif est de renforcer la mise en place pratique du changement durable à deux niveaux. Premièrement, à travers des nouvelles formules pédagogiques et la mise en place de projets d'élèves. Deuxièmement, nous voulons encourager les jeunes à devenir des changemakers (acteurs de changement) c’est-à-dire : changer leurs habitudes, devenir bénévoles et/ou lancer un projet.

C’est pour ces raisons que nous vous invitons à nous aider pour cet événement créé et mené par des jeunes pour des jeunes et de découvrir un monde où la motivation vous amène à penser, que “There is Hope”, il y a de l’espoir.

Nous aurons besoin de vous de 7h00 à 20h00. Oui c’est une longue journée, mais remplie d’expériences drôles, enrichissantes, avec d’autres jeunes motivé-e-s pour un changement.

Pour cela nous organisons le dimanche 19 Novembre une journée d’information et formation. Et une super fête le 20 Novembre après ce super évènement !!!!!!
